Monument Chemical proudly hosted this year’s SOCMA Sustainability Conference – our third time attending the event and the first time Monument took the lead as host. We offered up The Heritage Group’s (THG) one-of-a-kind innovation facility – The Center – as the perfect backdrop for a two-day deep dive into what’s possible when sustainability and collaboration are not only discussed, but lived.

In October 2024, Astrea Specialty Materials came to Monument Chemical with a big ask: Could we quickly ramp up production of Methyl Cyclohexane — a key ingredient used in rocket propellant and other advanced materials — after their supply became unreliable.

Our answer? Yes, we can!

Monument is one of the largest Midwest producers of the propylene glycol family, manufacturing all three products of propylene glycol, di-propylene glycol and tri-propylene glycol. Products are manufactured at our plant in Brandenburg, KY, which has been manufacturing glycols for over 60 years. 

On October 29, hundreds of the brightest minds in chemical manufacturing gathered in Charleston, SC for SOCMA’s annual Summit. If you don’t know SOCMA (the Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates®), their organization is helping shape the future of the specialty chemicals industry by empowering the growth of its leaders. Monument Chemical is proud to be one of them.

On November 18, 2024, the Baytown team came together to celebrate 14 years OSHA free with a BBQ lunch!

Monument manufactures several high purity organic solvents used in the semiconductor value chain. Solvents in our portfolio include PGMEA, PGME, MIBC, IPA, HG, and PG. We understand the stringent needs of the industry and partner closely with our Tier-1 customers to deliver consistent and reliable product to the U.S. and European markets.

On November 1, Monument Chemical employees from the Brandenburg, KY site participated in the Manufacturing Expo at the Meade County College and Career Center, an event designed to introduce students to the fascinating world of manufacturing through interactive, hands-on experiences.
