How Monument Chemical Is Putting Data and AI to Work for Customers

October 19th, 2026

What if the answer to a complex production challenge was already hiding in years of data – and you could find it in minutes instead of hours or days?

At Monument Chemical, that's increasingly becoming a reality.

By combining advanced data analytics, AI-powered tools, and the expertise of our people, we're finding smarter ways to optimize production, accelerate problem-solving, and deliver even greater value to customers.

And we're sharing what we're learning along the way!

Taking the Conversation to TrendLab

Recently, Yndalecia Martinez, Senior Production Engineer at Monument, took the stage at TrendLab 2026 North America, an industry event hosted by TrendMiner, to share how our Houston team is turning complex production data into actionable insights.

Four Monument team members attended the event, exchanging ideas with other industry professionals and exploring new ways to use AI and analytics to work smarter.

"One of the most exciting things is how quickly these tools are evolving," said Yndalecia. "Things that once would have taken a significant amount of time are suddenly at our fingertips."

Seeing What We Couldn't See Before

Manufacturing specialty chemicals generates enormous amounts of data, from temperatures and flow rates to lab results and tank inventories. The real value comes from connecting that information to uncover insights that help us make smarter decisions.

That's where TrendMiner comes in. This powerful data analytics tool brings information from multiple sources into one easy-to-use visual platform. Instead of spending hours gathering and analyzing data, Monument engineers can quickly compare production runs, spot patterns, identify potential issues, and find opportunities to improve.

And those insights are delivering real results for customers.

Better Data. Better Outcomes.

In her presentation, Yndalecia highlighted several examples of how this approach is making a difference:

  • Faster delivery: By analyzing production data and refining a catalyst activation process, the Houston team reduced the time needed to produce a shippable tank after activation by approximately 60%.
  • Even higher quality: When a customer needed a higher-purity product, engineers analyzed years of production data to identify a smarter approach – meeting the customer's needs without significantly increasing production time.
  • Smarter monitoring: Integrated environmental data makes it easier to spot conditions outside target ranges and respond proactively.
  • More time for innovation: Automated reporting and faster analysis free engineers from repetitive tasks, giving them more time to focus on improvements that matter to customers.

AI Meets Human Ingenuity

The possibilities extend beyond data visualization.

Using a range of AI tools, Monument engineers can now develop code and automate processes much faster, even without specialized programming expertise.

For Yndalecia, the real opportunity is what that makes possible.

"Our customers count on us to be agile, especially as we take on new products and increasingly complex chemistries," she said. "Technology helps us spend less time gathering information and more time figuring out how to make things better."

More Possibilities. Same Commitment.

As customer needs evolve, so does the way we work.

We're continuing to explore new applications for data analytics and AI, from production optimization to predictive insights, while keeping our priorities firmly in place: quality, reliability, responsiveness, and customer success.

Because the greatest value of smarter technology isn't what it can do on its own.

It's what it empowers our people to do for our customers!
