Monument Achieves Silver EcoVadis Certification: 5 Tips for Improving Operational Sustainability

One year ago, Monument’s U.S. team was celebrating a Bronze EcoVadis status, achieved with no prior experience with the process. But in addition to our “high fives” and celebrations, we also set our sights on becoming even better — in true Monument fashion.
That vision quickly became action, and this year, it also became a reality. Monument has earned a Silver Medal from EcoVadis for our U.S. sites (joining our Belgium team, who earned silver status in 2018).
New Employee Spotlight: Welcome to Ted Olszanski!

Ted Olszanski joined Monument Houston in May 2023, stepping into the role of Operations Manager with over a decade of experience as a production leader in the chemical and refining industries. His background includes overseeing plant operations, ranging from startup and shutdown activities to turnarounds and emergency operations.

The Heritage Group (THG) and Monument Chemical are thrilled to host the annual Chemical Innovation Exchange Conference (CIEX) at the THG Center October 24 and 25, 2024. CIEX is designed for C-level R&D, Innovation, and Sustainability experts from the consumer, industrial, and specialty chemical sectors. Now in its 10th edition, CIEX is focused on creating value by bringing together the right people, fostering synergies, and actively facilitating connections among potential partners. Houston Polysulfide Unit Steps Up with Major Reduction in Cycle Times

In an attempt to fill a gap in the growing market and address the needs of one of our key partners, Monument Houston opened up our new Polysulfide Unit in 2021. What followed in the years to come were some inevitable growing pains, but when demand hit an all-time high this past year, it was time for a major effort to address the issues slowing our cycle times — and the results were just as significant.

Safety Never Takes a Break – Celebrating Five Years LTI Free at the Kallo Site

Recently, the Monument Kallo team gathered to celebrate a significant milestone – five years without a lost time injury (LTI). The event was celebrated with well over 100 employees and contractors, and Paul Raymond. Pizza trucks were on site, handing out slices to each and every member of the team – all of whom were a vital part of this achievement.
