Stress Awareness Month: Staying at Your Best Through Change
April 28th, 2026
It’s been a challenging few years—for our industry and for Monument. At the same time, this year is bringing real momentum and exciting change.
And with that can come a lot to navigate, from new priorities to new ways of doing things. That’s why Stress Awareness Month in April is a good moment to pause—not to slow progress, but to make sure we’re taking care of the people driving it.
⚠️ Stress doesn’t always look like stress
It doesn’t have to feel overwhelming to have an impact. Often, it shows up as:
- Feeling constantly “on” or unable to switch off
- Lower energy or focus than usual
- Shorter patience—with yourself or others
- Trouble sleeping or fully recharging
Recognizing it early is what makes it manageable.
✔️ Small ways to reset (that actually fit your day)
You don’t need a major overhaul to feel better. A few simple shifts can go a long way:
- Take short breaks between tasks: Even 5 minutes helps your brain reset
- Step outside when you can: Fresh air and movement can quickly lower stress
- Prioritize what matters most: Not everything needs to be done at once
- Check in with each other: A quick conversation can make a difference
- Give yourself permission to pause: It’s part of sustaining performance, not stepping away from it
And be sure to reach out to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - AllOne Health (1-800-456-6327) if you need additional support.
🔁 Progress and well-being go hand in hand
The work happening across Monument matters—and so do the people behind it.
Managing stress is staying at your best over time, so we can keep moving forward together.
