Monument Purchases Site Next to Houston Plant
February 2nd, 2021
Monument Team,
I am excited to announce that Monument has purchased a 24-acre manufacturing site located right next to our Houston plant. Previously owned by TechnipFMC (DUCO), a manufacturer of subsea umbilical cables to support offshore activities, the property contains warehouse space, pristine office space, marine access to the Houston Ship Channel, and of course, convenient integration with our Houston site.
As you know, our Houston team has been working on an impressive range of growth projects and expansions, and this new site will grant us an even bigger canvas to connect dots, seize new opportunities, and grow our business.
In the short-term, we will pursue opportunities to deliver immediate value, such as leasing parts of the property and leveraging office space among the Monument Houston Area team. We also plan to take advantage of several tactical benefits the site offers, such as increased storage and packaging locations, access to the marine logistics, and even possible wastewater treatment synergies.
In the long-term, we see countless opportunities for growth, such as dedicated production for specialty and other high purity products, new technologies, and other strategic projects. The possibilities are endless – and very exciting.
This investment is a true testament to the confidence we have in the Houston Area team’s ability to execute and seize new opportunities. Thank you for the wins you deliver on a daily basis. We look forward to seeing the opportunities of our newest Monument site become a reality in your very capable hands.
Stay safe,
Paul
