Monument 2019 Top Priorities

Monument Team,
Even though we are only a few weeks into 2019, I am already inspired by what we have achieved so far this year. We wrapped up 2018 with review of our biggest wins and an overview of what we hope to accomplish together this year (see video) – and this momentum has carried us through to a successful January.
Today, I am excited to share our 2019 Top Priorities, which will drive tangible progress in the areas of biggest impact for our customers, growth opportunities, and future success.
I would like to highlight three new Priorities for 2019:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration (part of Priority #2) – When we work together across functions, we can more easily challenge old ideas, discover new solutions, and implement them quicker and more effectively. The markets we serve are changing rapidly, and we need an all-hands-on-deck approach to innovation and continuous improvement in all we do.
- Career Development – As I mentioned in December, our biggest asset at Monument is YOU. This year, we will be exploring new talent development opportunities for our team members. You will likely be hearing more about this ongoing discussion with your leaders, and I encourage you to share your feedback – and to take advantage of every opportunity to create the future you want for yourself.
- Bayport Integration – This new partnership will lead to many promising opportunities in both the custom manufacturing and product sides of our business. We’re off to a great start, working across businesses and functions as we integrate the Bayport employees into the Monument family.
You’ll be seeing more updates on our plans and success in all of our Top Priorities in the coming months. As always, our commitment to continuous improvement in HSE will guide every decision we make, as we work together to make progress in each of our key focus areas.
We achieved great successes in 2018, and I’m confident that we’ll accomplish even more in 2019. Our collective efforts and partnerships – across teams, functions, and sites – will enable us to deliver even greater successes in 2019 and beyond. Keep collaborating. Keep focused. Keep safe. And together, we’ll have our best year yet.
