Leadership Updates at Brandenburg

July 22nd, 2025

Team,

There’s no question that Brandenburg has seen a lot of change – both in the industry and here at the site. But the work we’ve all put into strengthening our business, improving our operations, and developing our talent is exactly what makes it possible to navigate these challenges and create new opportunities for growth.

One of the driving forces behind that team effort is Wendell Borges, who recently shared that he’ll be leaving the site. While we’re sad to see Wendell go, we’re incredibly grateful for everything he’s done to position us for success. Since joining us in early 2022, Wendell has strengthened the site by helping the team chase new growth opportunities, delivering efficiency gains, and developing our talent. Thanks to his many efforts and incredible impact, we’re in a better place to continue advancing the site, the business, and our team.

As part of that growth, we’re pleased to announce that Tom Parcell and Phil Hume are stepping into expanded leadership roles to help carry that momentum forward:

  • Tom Parcell, currently Operations Manager, will assume the role of Site Leader for Brandenburg. Tom has done an excellent job leading the site’s operations, driving improvements in performance and reliability. Over the next few months, he’ll complete the training and qualifications needed to fully transition into the site leader role.
  • Phil Hume will take on the role of Operations and Supply Chain Director for the Oxides Business. Phil already plays a critical role on the Business Management Team (BMT) from a supply chain perspective, and in this expanded role, he’ll serve as the key liaison between the BMT and our Operations and Supply Chain teams.

In the weeks ahead, we will share additional details and updates on how these changes will continue to enhance team responsibilities and alignment.

We know the industry remains challenging, and change is constant. We want to say – loud and clear – that we are not powerless while we wait for market conditions to improve. We are taking action, we have a plan, and we have the right leaders and team in place to help drive us forward.

Please join us in thanking Wendell for his many contributions to Brandenburg – and in congratulating Tom and Phil on their new roles.

And thank you, as always, for all you’re doing every day to help strengthen this site and position us for success.

Adam and Don
