Dan Cortez Joins Monument as Sr. HR Analyst and Business Partner

Dear Team,

Please join me in welcoming Dan Cortez to Monument this week as Sr. HR Analyst and Business Partner, located in our Indy office and reporting to me. Dan will support all of our corporate groups (Finance, IT, and Commercial), as well as manage our HR systems, data analytics and reporting, steward Monument’s participation in the Unlocking Potential/Workday project, and support our global HR programs and projects, including policies, talent acquisition, total rewards programs and workforce planning.   

Dan joins us from Allegion in Indianapolis, where he was the HR Business Partner for the Americas Business Unit.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Marquette University and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) as well as a Gallup Strengths Coach. Over the years, Daniel has gained extensive experience in a variety of HR roles across multiple industries and has a passion for human resources, including coaching and developing leaders to reach their full potential and helping people and organizations grow.  He resides in Indy with his wife, Annie and their son, Noah. 

The HR team has realigned over the past few months to support our people strategies more effectively with leaders and employees across our 4 business lines and 6 sites:

  • Carolina Barrientos is HR Manager for the four Texas sites and HR leader for the Solvents and Renewables & Fuels BMTs. Crystal Aleman reports to Carolina as HR Generalist.
  • Tonya Jeffries is HR Manager for the Brandenburg, KY site and the HR leader for the Oxides BMT.  Kelli Richard reports to Tonya has HR Generalist for the site. 
  • Mario Renap is the HR Manager for the Antwerp, Belgium site and the HR leader for the Europe BMT.  Kim DeWilde reports to Mario as HR Officer/Generalist. 
  • Jamie Kieffer is the Director of Talent leading our global Talent programs, including the EG&D process, Leadership and Employee Development, Linked in Learning, Employee Engagement, Workforce Planning, and other related programs.
  • Dan Cortez is the HR Business Partner for the Corporate functions and global functional leader for HR Systems/Analytics/Global HR Program support.

Please join me in welcoming Dan to the global HR team. We are excited about the experience he brings to Monument and look forward to his contributions!
