We got it right — the very first time!

I’m talking about our first-ever pressure swing distillation that, thanks to an incredible team effort, was an amazing success.

The former Houston process was proving tedious and required the purchase and disposal of too much caustic. Bayport utilized a pressure swing process but was limited to lower rates by their equipment. Once the process was transferred here, colleagues from R&D, Engineering, Customer Service Operations, and other teams came together to leverage and improve Bayport’s experience. Thanks to their efforts, our first pressure swing campaign for the customer improved our contained THF yield to 86% from 77%. And we can produce and store more finished product here than was possible in Bayport.

It always feels good to get something difficult done right. But it’s absolutely thrilling to take on a challenge like this and get it done right the very first time — which is exactly what, thanks to you, we did.
