We are excited to announce the first winner of the new Monument Brandenburg Community Partnership Initiative (CPI) Grant – a $10,000 annual award for a non-profit-run program that addresses a demonstrated need within our area of focus, which for 2018 was “community land use.” Our 2018 winner is the Meade County Museum & Arts Council, who submitted a proposal for a Brandenburg Riverfront Amphitheater.

Monument Chemical Expands Capabilities in Custom Manufacturing by Acquiring Nova Molecular Technologies’ Bayport, Texas Facility

Monument Chemical today announced it has acquired the Bayport, Texas facility owned by Nova Molecular Technologies. The acquisition allows Monument to expand its capabilities to better meet the needs of its custom manufacturing and tolling-services clients while also broadening its solvents and intermediates portfolio, specifically into high-purity applications.

Monument Employee Teams Up with All-Star Motorsports Team to Support Hurricane Relief Efforts in Puerto Rico

In December of this year, Monument Kentucky employee Ryan Lane will travel to Puerto Rico with a star-studded pro motorsports team to help make a difference to the many individuals and families who are still struggling in the wake of Hurricane Maria. The team includes Travis Alan Pastrana, a popular motorsports competitor and stunt performer who has won a range of championships and X Games gold medals, and Ryan Sipes, local to Meade County and another well-known motorsports competitor.

In August, La’Breece Perry wrapped up his third co-op rotation at Monument’s Brandenburg site. And just as before, he’s walking away with a successful project under his belt – and months of hand-on learning that will help guide his path both academically and professionally.

Hurricane Harvey Shines a Spotlight on the Monument Texas Team’s Core Commitments

Conquering the aftermath of a perfect storm requires perfect planning – and plenty of teamwork, flexibility, and fast thinking. When weather predictions about Hurricane Harvey turned severe in late August 2017, the Monument team in Texas quickly took smart, critical steps to prepare for the storm. The end result? Both of Monument’s sites – Houston and Baytown – were the first chemical producers in the gulf coast back up and running in the wake of one of the most impactful hurricanes in the region’s recent history.
