Monument Chemical is proud to announce a major milestone: our Renewables and Fuels business has been awarded a multi-year contract by the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), part of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), to supply JP-10 and PF-1: two of the most advanced, high-energy propellants in the world.

For the second year in a row, Monument Chemical brought science to life during an immersive STEAM Lab takeover at Meade County’s College & Career Center. The event, which spanned two days and engaged Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) students across grade levels, showcased just how exciting and relevant science can be — both in the lab and in life.

Monument Chemical proudly hosted this year’s SOCMA Sustainability Conference – our third time attending the event and the first time Monument took the lead as host. We offered up The Heritage Group’s (THG) one-of-a-kind innovation facility – The Center – as the perfect backdrop for a two-day deep dive into what’s possible when sustainability and collaboration are not only discussed, but lived.

In October 2024, Astrea Specialty Materials came to Monument Chemical with a big ask: Could we quickly ramp up production of Methyl Cyclohexane — a key ingredient used in rocket propellant and other advanced materials — after their supply became unreliable.

Our answer? Yes, we can!
