Wendell Borges Joins Monument Chemical Kentucky as Operations Manager

I am pleased to announce that Wendell Borges joins the Monument Chemical Kentucky team as the Operations Manager effective today, January 17, 2022. In this role, Wendell will report to me and will be responsible for overall production operations across the Brandenburg Site. The primary goal of the Operations Manager will be to manage the plant operating units to reliably deliver low cost, high quality products in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Wendell has over 20 years of experience in chemical manufacturing. He comes to us with wide range of operation experience in such areas as site management, production, safety and environment, quality, cost control, process improvement, process development, and engineering. He is a Lean Six-Sigma certified Black Belt.
Wendell joins us from Clariant Corporation. Wendell joined Clariant in 2002 in Brazil as a Senior Chemical Engineer and held varying roles of increasing responsibility with different assignments in Mexico; Charlotte, NC; and most recently as Production Manager in Louisville, KY. Before Clariant Wendell was a Process Engineer at Cognis (Henkel).
Wendell earned his Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil and his MBA from Fundacao Getulio Vargas which is an institution of higher education in Brazil.
