Monument Career Development Enhancements

Monument Team,

This year, we are exploring new opportunities to enhance Career Development throughout Monument, across sites, businesses, and functions. Our aim is to boost our Career Development visibility, resources, and culture, so that every Monument employee is encouraged to invest in – and take charge of – their professional growth.

Monument Connect will play an important role in granting you quick access to key Career Development resources. Many of our internal job postings, for example, are available as a link from the homepage, and we recently posted a company-wide organizational chart to promote transparency and interest in the career pathways available throughout the company.

As the year progresses, you’ll be seeing more Career Development content on Monument Connect, such as employee career stories and tips and best practices, for added guidance and motivation.

We will also be working with leaders throughout Monument to enhance our annual Career Development process – including guidance for increasing the effectiveness of our career conversations and more frequent touchpoints throughout the year.

As a reminder, while our new resources are there to support your growth, the largest factor in your career success is YOU. We encourage you to reflect frequently on your aspirations and interests, have open conversations with your leader about your goals, and seek out new experiences that build your desired strengths and skills.

Our plans to grow Monument’s Career Development opportunities and capabilities will play out throughout 2019 and beyond – and will rely heavily on your feedback and engagement.
