Michael Crosson Joins Monument as R&D Senior Chemist
May 11th, 2022
I am pleased to announce that effective March 28, 2022, Michael Crosson joined the Houston R&D team as a Senior Chemist. We were so excited to get Mike started right away that we didn’t send out this announcement in April.
In this role, Mike is responsible for reaction and distillation work in the Houston R&D laboratory, including research on new custom manufacturing opportunities and improvement of current processes. He will also be assisting in the startup of the new Houston site laboratory space. Mike holds a BS in Chemistry from Kansas State University. Prior to joining Monument, he worked at Total Energies in Houston for over four years, supporting refining operations with distillation evaluations and detailed crude analyses. Mike also worked in the polystyrene polymers group at Total and has experience at both DuPont and Kuraray plants in the Houston area.
With his varied industrial experience, knowledge of refinery products, and hands-on laboratory skills, Mike is a significant asset to the Houston Area R&D team.
In his spare time, Mike is a cross country runner and an avid ultimate frisbee player.
Please join me in welcoming Mike to Monument Houston!
Thank you,
C. William Gundlach
R&D Group Leader
