Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Limit Raised to $10,500
March 30th, 2021
The latest stimulus package included good news from the IRS. For 2021, the Dependent Care FSA contribution limit has increased from $5,000 to $10,500. This means you can save even more by starting or increasing your Dependent Care FSA to pay for eligible dependent care expenses with tax-free dollars this year. The changes allow you to start contributing to a Dependent Care FSA even if you didn’t elect it during Open Enrollment.
To enroll or make changes to your Dependent Care FSA, submit the Flexible Spending Account Change Form to HR Shared Services .
Note: No changes were passed impacting the Healthcare FSA. The maximum 2021 contribution limit remains at $2,750.
