I am pleased to announce the following exciting changes to Baytown leadership:

• Kurt Griffith, currently Baytown Site Leader, has accepted a new role as Process Technology Leader – Houston Area. Starting January 1, Kurt will transition his site leadership responsibilities to Vernon and Michael (see below). Kurt’s role will be subject of a future announcement.
• Vernon Harris is taking on an expanded role as Production Superintendent at Baytown. In this role, he will report to me, and will oversee and manage all plant operations, including new trials, compliance, feed optimization, and utilities. He will be also responsible for the long-term production view and set up of Baytown.
• Michael Schelling will officially move into the position of Operations Manager at Baytown. In this role, he will report to me, and will be responsible for plant budget, capital, maintenance, and S&OP.
• Cody Sanders has been promoted to Operations Specialist (day job). In this role, he will continue to report to Vernon, and will support the operation of all production, logistics, environmental, and maintenance activities.

These changes are effective January 1.

The expertise of these leaders will ensure a smooth transition – and an exciting next chapter for Baytown.
