Celebrating Dan Malone

March 26th, 2026

Monument Team,

Today, I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate Dan Malone, Vice President, Global Product Sales & Procurement, as he prepares for his well-earned retirement.

Dan will officially retire on July 1 and has agreed to support me and the broader leadership team for the remainder of the year and beyond as Executive Advisor, ensuring a successful transition into our next phase of growth at Monument

Dan has been a cornerstone of Monument since joining in 2008. Over that time, he has played a central role in building and strengthening our commercial organization – expanding our market presence, deepening customer relationships, and helping position the company for growth. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping how we approach sales, procurement, and partnership across our businesses.

With 44 years in the industry, Dan has brought deep commercial expertise and a strong customer-first mindset – but what truly sets him apart is his ability to connect strategy to execution. He has consistently found ways to translate market insight into action, helping the business grow while maintaining discipline and focus.

When I spoke with others about Dan and his impact, a few themes came through clearly.

Amy and Bill, who brought Dan into the organization, both reflected on the role he played from the very beginning – one of the “original three” who helped build Monument from its earliest days into what it is today. They spoke about the way Dan showed up every day with grit, pride, and creativity, often stepping in to carry the business forward when it mattered most. His deep sense of ownership – treating Monument as his own and holding both the business and those around him to high standards – has been a defining part of his leadership. Bill also shared how much he will personally miss working with Dan, noting the impact he had on his own growth and how different Monument’s story might have been had he not joined when he did.

Paul shared a similar perspective, highlighting Dan’s ability to step into complex customer situations and take the lead – bringing clarity, strong advocacy for Monument, and a thoughtful business perspective.

And for those who work closely with him, like Dave Hanson, the appreciation is just as strong. Dave describes Dan as someone who speaks up when it matters and stays focused on getting things done the right way. He highlighted Dan’s straightforward and dependable approach, both with customers and across the business, as well as the trust he builds through consistency and follow-through. Dave also noted Dan’s eye for talent, and the many people across Monument who are here – and continue to contribute – because Dan believed in them.

As we look ahead, it’s clear that much of what we are building toward is grounded in the foundation Dan helped create. His contributions have positioned Monument for this next stage of growth, and we are grateful for the role he has played in getting us here.

On behalf of the entire Monument team, I want to thank Dan for his outstanding contributions and leadership. We wish him the very best in this next chapter and hope it brings time to enjoy family, pursue new interests, and reflect on a career that has made a lasting impact.

We’re grateful to have Dan’s continued support in the months ahead. Please join me in thanking Dan for his many contributions and in wishing him all the best in this next chapter.
