A Message from Amy (June 1)
June 1st, 2020
As I watched the news this weekend, I found myself heartbroken for my hometown of Indianapolis, and for our country. I’m sure many of you find yourselves in the same position. My heart is with all those who are living in fear, whose hearts are heavy given recent events, and those who will spend the coming weeks and months rebuilding from the damage caused by the riots.
Since my family started this company 90 years ago, we have built a culture that believes in the value of every person. We all come from different backgrounds and upbringings, many from different races, religions, political beliefs, identities, and ethnicities. It is precisely these differences, and the unique contributions that each individual can bring, that fuel our spirit of innovation. We have built our business betting on people, and doing the right thing. . .and we will continue to do so because time and again we see that people work better together.
Another core priority within our culture is and has always been safety. It is foundational in everything we do at THG, and I strongly believe that safety includes both psychological as well as physical safety. Each and every one of us should feel safe, respected, and embraced by our Heritage culture, throughout every part of our organization.
From the bottom of my heart, know that you are a valued member of the Heritage family. We will continue to build upon a culture that encourages, celebrates, and supports diverse voices.
Be well,
Amy
