Enhancements to Our Global Manufacturing Organization

November 13th, 2020

Monument Team,

Last week, Paul shared a look at Monument’s refreshed Leadership organization. Today, I’m excited to announce enhancements to our Global Manufacturing organization – all of which build alignment on Monument’s current expansion activities and will allow us to better support the transformational projects and initiatives that will be driving our growth next year and well beyond.

Here is a summary of these enhancements, all of which are effective January 1, 2021:

  • Jody Caines will continue in his Global Compliance Manager role. He will report directly to me and will be responsible for the Corporate Compliance Process across all areas of Monument Chemical. Jody will also add responsibilities as the primary round table member for SOCMA-related activities – and for leading the effort on all SOCMA reporting requirements. In addition, Jody will assist me directly on health and safety initiatives for both Brandenburg and Kallo.
  • Tim Prowell has accepted the role of Global Process Safety Manager. He will report directly to me and will be responsible for ensuring all sites are equipped with all the necessary processes and standards to manage process safety per regulatory and company expectations. Site-based process safety personnel will report to their respective site leaders.
  • Narayan Dave has accepted the role of Global Environmental Leader. He will continue reporting directly to me and will be responsible for ensuring environmental regulation adherence and accessing site capabilities and betterments from a certification standpoint. Thanks to Narayan’s excellent leadership, we have achieved significant wins in this area, and this focused role will allow Narayan and Monument to better leverage our expertise into a competitive advantage.
  • Blake Saffer will continue in his Global Quality Leader role, ensuring Monument’s continuous evolution in overall material quality while improving the customer experience. Blake will also be playing an increased role in actively leading the quality certification and material enhancements for both existing and future Monument Chemical sites.
  • Rick Caines will continue to serve as Executive Consultant. He will now report to me directly, and will support major growth capital projects, and Enterprise Risk Management activities. Additionally, Rick will be developing global policies in each of these areas to enhance the overall effectiveness for these activities.

The manufacturing team members mentioned above will play a key role in supporting Monument’s effort in transformational projects and acquisition due diligence work. This team will better allow us to further build and leverage our expertise in each of these critical areas, particularly for the transformational projects and activities that will deliver the most growth for Monument.

A big thank you to Jody, Tim, Narayan, Blake, and Rick for their leadership and countless contributions to the Monument team. I look forward to working with them – and with all of you throughout our incredible Manufacturing organization – to apply our expertise, commitment, and agility toward Monument’s next chapter of growth.
