Casey LaFollette Accepts New Role as QC Lab Coordinator (Kentucky)

I am pleased to announce the following organizational change for Monument Chemical Kentucky effective September 1, 2021.

Casey LaFollette has accepted the position of QC Lab Coordinator. In this role, Casey will have responsibilities for the day to day operation of the lab. She will work closely with unit Supervisors and Lab Technicians to help coordinate priorities of samples from each unit as well working with R&D and Lab management. Casey will report to me.

Casey joined the MC Kentucky team on December 7, 2020 as a Lab Technician and has made significant contributions in the lab area.

Joe Redmon Promoted to Maintenance/ Utilities Supervisor – Lead (Kentucky)

Joe Redmon has been promoted to Maintenance/ Utilities Supervisor – Lead. In this role, Joe will have expanded responsibilities for the Maintenance department as well the direct supervision and management of all utilities for the Brandenburg Site. Joe will continue reporting to me.

Joe joined the MC Kentucky team on April 7, 2007 and has made significant contributions in the areas of maintenance, contractor management, and I&E supervision.

Jamie Kieffer Promoted to HR Director, Houston and Global Talent & Reward

I am pleased to announce that Jamie Kieffer, currently Human Resources (HR) Manager for Houston, has been promoted to Human Resources Director, Houston, effective September 1. As part of this promotion, Jamie will also lead our global Talent and Reward efforts. This new role spotlights Jamie’s incredible contributions to the HR team and to Monument – as well as our growing footprint in the Houston area. Jamie’s new Global Talent and Reward responsibilities will include everything we do to attract, engage, grow, and retain the right talent and help our team members achieve their potential – such as recruiting, onboarding, performance management, recognition, and career development.

Jamie will continue reporting to me. The successor for Jamie’s current role, HR Manager – Houston, will be the subject of a future announcement.

Liam McMillan Joins Monument as Business Development Manager, Custom Manufacturing

Monument Team,

I am pleased to announce that Liam McMillan will join Monument on August 16 as Business Development Manager, Custom Manufacturing. Liam will report to me and will be based in Houston. He will be responsible for managing our existing Custom Manufacturing business in the region and developing business opportunities for new growth and expansion.

Liam joins us from Multichem (Halliburton), where he served as Senior Manager for Contract Manufacturing. Prior to that, he worked at Sasol as Manager, Commercialization and Enablement.

Liam earned a Master of Science degree in Medicinal Chemistry, as well as a Ph.D. in Chemistry, from the University of Glasgow.

Peter Michielsen to Join Monument as Business Leader for Europe

I am pleased to announce that Peter Michielsen will join the Monument team as Business Leader for Europe on August 1, 2021. Peter will report to me and be a member of the Global Leadership Team, and he will be responsible for overseeing our growth efforts for the Kallo business and throughout Europe. Peter is excited to build upon our many successes in Kallo – and to work closely with our global team to seek a range of expansion opportunities, including new markets, geographies, technologies, and potential acquisitions.

The following team members will report to Peter: Manu Gyselinck (Site Manger), Peter Hellemans (Sales Director Cust Mfg.), Sweder Van Rijckevorsel (Sales Director OP), Jacobus Sinnema (R&D Manager), and Christophe Vergote (MC Kallo Supply Chain Manager). Diana De Peuter (Accounting & IT Manager) and Paul Quintyn (HR Manager) will continue to report to their functional leader to assure continued strong governance in these two functional areas.

Peter joins us with over 30 years of leadership in global specialty materials – with a long history of translating overarching business visions into winning strategies that deliver tangible results. In his most recent role, he served as Managing Director for Sonneborn Refined Products B.V., where he was responsible for Sonneborn’s European and Asian business and plants producing specialty chemicals for personal care, pharma, and industrial applications. In addition, Peter has held a range of leadership roles at Cargill, including Business Unit Leader / President with responsibilities for stand-alone businesses.

Peter earned his Master of Science degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Over the past six months, Peter has provided business advice to Monument on a range of growth initiatives – and we are excited to welcome him formally to our Global Leadership Team. I am confident that Peter’s leadership, insights, and engagement will allow us to expand our reach in Europe, as well as strengthen our overall company growth strategy.

Ian Giloth to Join Monument as Sales Director – Kentucky

I am pleased to announce that Ian Giloth will join the Monument team as Sales Director – Kentucky on July 30, 2021. Ian will report to me.

Ian is an accomplished sales leader, with a strong background in producer and distributor sales – and a history of driving value, business growth, and optimizing financial results in support of business objectives in the specialty chemicals markets. He joins us from Nagase Specialty Materials, (formerly Fitz Chem), where he served as Director of Sales. Ian is rejoining the Monument family, as he was our Senior Account Manager for Performance Urethane Polyols & Specialty Organics from 2014 to 2018. He has also held roles of increasing sales responsibility at Sasol Chemicals, Univar USA, and CHEMCENTRAL Corporation.

Ian earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.

A very special thanks to Dave Hansen, who has been leading Sales efforts in Kentucky, while also serving in his primary role as Sales Director for Houston.

Eathan Peach Assumes Production Responsibility for Brandenburg’s Pilot Plant

Monument Team,

I am pleased to announce that effective immediately, as part of Monument’s career progression and balancing Kentucky site assignments, Eathan Peach will accept responsibility for Brandenburg’s Pilot Plant facility in addition to his current Production Superintendent duties in EDC.

Eathan joined Monument Chemical in Brandenburg, KY as a College Co-Op in 2014 and has successfully progressed in roles of increasing responsibility. Eathan has done a fine job managing area activities for the East Side production units and should readily absorb the Pilot Plant responsibilities.

Brian Davis will remain as Production Superintendent over Micro, POP, and Amination. Brian has been instrumental in guiding the Pilot Plant through the last several years of increasing activity of new product development and new tolling opportunities all while maintaining Micro, POP, and Amination.

Please join me in thanking Brian for all of his efforts and congratulating Eathan for his contributions and new duties. As always, continue to extend both Brian and Eathan your full cooperation and support in this transition.

DorShann Lewis Joins Indy Monument Team as Accounting Manager

Monument Team,

I am excited to announce that DorShann Lewis joined the Indy Monument team as our new Accounting Manager on June 21, 2021. DorShann will report to me and will be responsible for the month-end close, overseeing the audit, and working with me on the various projects and initiatives the accounting group is overseeing.

DorShann joins us from Milhaus, LLC, a Development, Construction and Property Management company, where she was the Accounting Manager responsible for all accounting operations of the Milhaus parent company and four subsidiaries. Prior to that, she held positions of increasing responsibility at Indiana University Health, Defense Finance and Accounting Services, and Buckingham Companies.

DorShann earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Tennessee State University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

She has two young children – and enjoys fashion, football, working in the community, and running when she can find time. Her favorite snacks are water, chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels, and grapefruit. (Just in case anyone wants to drop by with welcome gifts!)

Anderson Kroehler Joins Monument as Finance and Accounting Analyst

I am pleased to announce that Anderson Kroehler joined the Monument team as Finance and Accounting Analyst on May 3, 2021. Based in Indianapolis, Anderson will report to me and will be responsible for analyzing data, developing reporting capabilities, automating processes, and overseeing various accounting procedures.

Anderson joins us from Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting and technology firm, where he worked as a Senior Consultant. Outside of work, Anderson has a range of interesting hobbies – including an impressive skill for solving a Rubik’s Cube.

He earned a B.S. in Business, as well as an MBA, from Indiana University.
